The Switch from the old website

Create Date:

Welcome to my new website! This site will primarily serve as a central hub for my online links and provide contact information. Additionally, I will be posting various updates and content here. Currently I’m not sure what I could share but will probably have stuff to talk about.

My previous Website

My previous website was named “Team Fortress 2 Banana Bay Cult.” It was the first proper website I ever made. The name comes from Chinese Pyro, who frequently played the map Banana Bay during their livestreams. This map has a unique look and a layout that confuses many players. As a payload race map, Banana Bay is one of the least played maps in the game. Despite its imperfections, I’ve had many memorable experiences on this map, making it one of my favorites at the time. We jokingly called ourselves the “Banana Bay Cult” (BBC). First, I created the Steam group BBC, and then I made the website TF2-BBC.

Later, I created a 24/7 Banana Bay Community server, which unfortunately wasn’t very popular, and I didn’t manage it well. Still, the Banana Bay Cult allowed me to learn how to create a website, which helped me make this one. Eventually, I will fully close down the old website and keep only Remyie.com up. I might create a page here dedicated to the Banana Bay Cult too. Hopefully, by then, I will also have time to fix the community server so we can play together.

In terms of technical details and design, the TF2-BBC website had a much older look. To be fair, it had a tropical theme, which was appropriate. However, both the look of the website and its name probably didn’t inspire confidence in newcomers, especially given the multiple meanings of “BBC.” The new website is more minimalistic and, in my opinion, looks quite cool. I like the dark grey, white, and orange theme. I used a template but modified it significantly. Probably going to keep improving it until I’m satisfied.
